Will a 60cm built-in Indesit microwave fit my cabinet space?

Check the model height and depth against your recess before buying, the two Indesit models in our range show heights of 382mm and 455mm and depths of 320mm and 560mm. You need a recess height slightly larger than the microwave height and a deeper cupboard than the included in our range depth so the unit sits flush. Also allow a little extra depth for cables and ventilation space behind the appliance. If your cabinet is shallow, the slimmer 382mm high and 320mm deep model will be the better match.

Which cavity capacity is best for my needs — 22 litres or 40 litres?

A 22-litre cavity suits everyday reheating, single portions and small dishes, whereas a 40-litre cavity gives room for larger plates, casserole dishes and family meals. the larger 40L model will comfortably take a 28cm dinner plate or a medium roasting dish; the 22L with a 250mm turntable is better for single plates and smaller containers. Think about what you cook most often: if you regularly heat full plates or cook larger meals, go for the 40L option.

How important is microwave wattage — what's the difference between 750W and 900W?

Higher wattage heats food faster and more evenly; the Indesit 900W model will cook and defrost quicker than the 750W unit. If you use the microwave for full cooking or regular reheating of family-sized portions, the 900W saves time and reduces cold spots. The 750W model still performs well for everyday reheating and grilling, and it can be kinder on delicate foods that don't need rapid blasts of heat.

What do the automatic cooking and auto-reheat programmes actually do for you?

Automatic cooking lets you select the type of food and the microwave sets time and power for you, taking the guesswork out of common tasks like vegetables, popcorn or ready meals. Auto-reheat quickly brings leftovers to serving temperature without overcooking the edges. press the relevant menu option for a frozen vegetable mix and the oven will choose suitable power and time so you don't have to experiment.

Is a stainless steel finish practical for daily kitchen use?

Stainless steel gives a smart, durable look that matches most modern ovens and hobs and resists stains and heat better than painted finishes. It does show fingerprints, so you'll wipe it down more often, but a quick microfibre pass restores the finish easily. If you want a cohesive kitchen aesthetic, either Indesit stainless model will blend neatly with other stainless appliances.
