How do I decide between an induction, gas or ceramic hob for my kitchen?

Gas gives instant visual flame control and works with any pan, so it’s great for stir fries and traditional cooking. What hob width and number of cooking zones should I choose?

A 60cm hob is the most common choice and many models here are 60cm with four cooking zones, which suits most households.
