The Fisher & Paykel Series 7 CG905DNGX1 90cm Gas Hob runs five sealed burners on flat cast iron trivets, topped by a 4.5kW wok burner for high heat cooking.

This gas hob measures 59 x 900 x 530mm, or 2.3 x 35.4 x 20.9in, and the surface is stainless steel. Every burner carries a flame failure device, and the trivets lift out for cleaning.

Five gas burners

A 4.5kW wok burner, a 3kW rapid burner, two semi-rapid burners at 2.4kW and an auxiliary burner at 1.2kW give five separate heat levels to work with.

Cast iron trivets

The trivets sit flat and level across the hob, so a heavy pan slides from one burner to the next instead of being lifted.

Flame failure device

Each burner senses its own flame. If the flame blows out or a pan boils over the gas to that burner closes.

Electronic ignition

The burner lights from its control dial, so there is nothing separate to press and no spark button to find.

Cleaning
