Ceramic Reginox Sinks

Ceramic has always been a firm favourite when it comes to kitchen materials because of its strength and resilience. Ceramic Reginox kitchen sinks are manufactured from fine refractory clay and are available in contemporary and traditional designs depending on the aesthetics of the room it’s being fitted in. These kitchen sinks also offer different installation types, with inset being the most popular and sit-on and undermount being close seconds. You also get the added bonus of being able to choose between black or white finishes. If you're in search of kitchen sinks by brand, be sure to explore Reginox sinks.

How tough is a ceramic Reginox sink, and how should you care for it to avoid chips or stains?

Reginox ceramic sinks are formed from fine refractory clay, which gives them strong, hard-wearing surfaces that resist scratching and heat better than many other materials. Clean daily with a mild detergent and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive powders or steel wool that can dull the glaze. If you chip the glaze, small cosmetic repairs are possible but deeper damage is rare with normal kitchen use. For everyday protection, use a rubber mat in the bowl when washing heavy pans.

What’s the practical difference between inset, sit-on, undermount and Belfast installations, and which should you choose?

Inset sinks sit into a cut-out and are the most popular for straightforward fitting and a traditional look, while undermount sinks give a seamless join with your worktop and are easier to wipe crumbs into the bowl; two Reginox models are supplied as inset or undermount. Sit-on is similar to topmount and can be quickest to fit if you’re replacing an existing sink. A Belfast (apron front) like the Reginox Belfast II is ideal if you want a farmhouse focal point and have room beneath the sink.

How do I decide between a single bowl and a 1.5 bowl, and when is a drainer useful?

A single bowl gives the largest uninterrupted space for washing big pans, as in the Belfast II and Mataro II single-bowl options, whereas a 1.5 bowl (for example the Traditional RL301CW or Tuscany II) gives a smaller secondary bowl for prep or rinsing. Choose a drainer (left or right hand) when you need dedicated drying space next to the bowl; two models in the range offer left or right drainer options. If you frequently soak or separate tasks, a 1.5 bowl with a drainer is the most flexible choice.

Should I choose black or white ceramic, and how will the colour work with different kitchen styles?

White ceramic is timeless and brightens most schemes, which is why many Reginox pieces here are shown in white; it suits contemporary and traditional rooms alike. Black offers a dramatic, modern contrast and hides marks from water less obviously, though it can show limescale more readily. For example, a white Tuscany II or Traditional sink pairs well with shaker cabinets, while a black inset sink can look striking against a matt dark worktop.

How do the Reginox ranges differ — Traditional, Tuscany, Mataro and Belfast — and which will suit your layout?

Traditional and Tuscany styles lean classic in shape and often come in 1.5-bowl layouts for family kitchens, with models like RL301CW and Tuscany II shown in white. Mataro II and the single-bowl options are more compact and square or rectangular, so they suit smaller kitchens or island prep areas. The Belfast II is an apron-front single bowl that creates a strong farmhouse statement and needs space for an exposed front and deeper cabinet below.
