Carry one colour right across the sink with the Abode Koto Inset Undermount Single Bowl Stainless Steel Brushed Brass Kitchen Sink. The bowl, the rim, the waste and the cover plate are all finished in brushed brass.
Underneath the colour is a pressed steel bowl with vertical sides, tight corners and a flat floor. The waste, the overflow and the pipework are supplied with it.
PVD Brushed Brass Finish
Physical vapour deposition bonds a thin layer of brushed brass into the surface of the steel. The colour is part of the bowl itself rather than a lacquer laid over the top. There is no separate coating sitting on the steel to chip or lift.
Nano PVD Coating
The coated surface is hydrophobic, so water and dirt are repelled rather than held on it. Abode call this Nano PVD, and say it is what keeps the bowl quick to clean.
Deep Single Bowl
The bowl has straight sides, a flat floor and a 10mm corner radius, so the walls run straight down to the floor. It measures 500 x 400mm across and 200mm deep. The tight corner radius is what gives the bowl its boxy look.
Matching Waste Cover
A basket strainer waste and a cover plate come in the same finish as the bowl. Drop the cover over the strainer and the waste sits flush with the floor of the bowl. It lifts straight out when you want to drain the sink.
Inset or Undermount
Set into the worktop the sink sits on a slim rim. Fixed underneath, the worktop edge is on show and the rim is hidden. Both sets of fixing clips are in the box, and Abode publish a cut-out for each fit: 516 x 416mm inset and 504 x 404mm undermount.
Worktop Thickness
The clips reach a worktop between 12 and 55mm thick, which covers laminate, solid timber and most stone. A 600mm cabinet is the smallest the sink will go over, inset or undermount.
Hardened Steel Bowl
The steel is glass-bead blasted before the colour goes on. Abode say the process raises its hardness and makes the bowl harder to scratch, so the brushed brass goes onto a hardened surface.
Care and Cleaning
Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks clean with soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Abode ask that you keep corrosive and abrasive substances off the finish, then rinse and dry the bowl after cleaning.
