If you often notice sudden hot or cold bursts during showers, a thermostatic T80z is the safer, more comfortable choice; five of the seven available T80z options are thermostatic. Manual models can be fine in single-person homes with stable water supplies and simpler plumbing.

Higher kW ratings generally give stronger flow and better ability to reach higher temperatures; the T80z range includes 8.5kW, 9.5kW and 10.5kW options. If you want a brisk, more powerful spray,useful for a more invigorating shower or larger heads,lean toward 9.5kW or 10.5kW. For smaller bathrooms or lower flow requirements, an 8.5kW model can be perfectly adequate and more economical to run. Match the kW to how strong you want the shower to feel rather than to vague rules about house type.

Fast-Fit T80z units have multiple water and cable entry points on both left and right sides, which makes them more adaptable to different bathroom layouts and existing pipework.
