Pros: High build quality, low noise levels, 2 year warranty
Cons: none yet
I purchased an ST Monsoon 2 bar to replace a cheap pump that had failed after shortly over a year - I thought it would be fine as it was only having to work one shower but was wrong. Having been let down I went for this as a friend recommended Stuart Turner pumps as being very good quality. This is over-spec for what I need but I wanted to go for something that could handle the current set up but also any additions in the future.
It has been in for around 3 weeks and it is light years better than the other one. The noise is massively reduced, and I mean massively. All pumps make some noise but this is really quiet by comparison. The pressure is absolutely fine for what I need and produces a good strong shower.
If you are unsure about whether to get something like this or a cheaper alternative i would really recommend going with this. There is no substitute for quality and you will just end paying more in the end as I have done if you go for a cheap option.
Delivery from Plumbworld was great, lots of good communication and it arrived when they said it would in good condition.
Pros: Quiet, solid, easy to instal.
Cons: It's very expensive - but for a reason.
I bought this based on other reviews. I wanted to replace an existing, and extremely noisy, "generic" shower pump.
The Monsoon lived up to all those reviews and more. It is very heavy, conveying a quality feel. Installation is straightforward and it is so quiet I wasn't even sure it was on.
Plumbworld provided good service, keeping me up to date as the item was out of stock. Delivery was on time as promised.
I made my descision based on price, the service was a very welcome bonus.
Pros: Quiet operation, good pressure and quite a compact unit.
I replaced an ageing very noisy pump with this one in an attempt to help my wife stay sleep whilst I showered before I go to work (very early!). She loves the pump & I scored millions of brownie points, well worth the £300!
Pros: 5 year warranty, Build quality , quietness
Cons: None as yet
I purchased the Stuart Turner Monsoon 2 bar pump which was replacing a similar Watermill pump . I say 'similar'but the only similarity between the two pumps I can think of is that they both run off electricity! The new pump is in an absolutely different league.... Admittedly its over double the price of the old one but its so better quality which results in it being much quieter than the previous pump. You could hear throughout the house whenever someone used the shower before but now you don't hear a thing! I had to reroute a bit of pipework to fit the Monsoon as the (not so flexible but amazing quality) flexible hoses that come with it were a different length to my previous ones but all so worth it to get this pump installed.... The 2 bar pump runs a single shower and is plenty powerful enough....Plus a 5 year warranty! If you are thinking of getting a new pump stop umming and arring and buy a Monsoon..... You won't regret it.
Pros: Easy installation and very powerful.
Cons: There is nothing that I don't like about this pump .
Its a very nice shower pump which delivers a very powerful shower . We are very pleased with it .
Pros: Very quiet compared with my old one. Pressure is excellent - first time I've ever backed off the flow valve in my on-suite shower. Even works well with both showers being used simultaneously. Looks good and info plate on top is very clear.
Cons: Not cheap - but was impressed with my old ST pump lasting 20 years, so why change?
Replacement ST Monsoon for my 20 year old pump with leaky hose connections. An extra shower also now fitted so new pump drives 2 showers.
Pros: Easy to fit,high power.
Cons: Plastic ball valves damage easily,do not use them too often!
As usual,Stuart quality,top performance!
Pros: Well made, brass ends and compact
Given it 3 stars for looks (it's a pump!) It's not top end of the pump market, however, it is a good reliable pump for the money.
