The best kind of shower pump is the type that no one knows is there. It’s quiet and it’s hidden away discreetly. The CT60B is exactly that. Compact enough to be stored in an attic or an airing cupboard and quiet enough so that you only know it’s on when you’re soaking in your new more powerful shower.

Do you need a pump?

Do you have a lower flow on your hot supply compared with your cold supply? Then depending on your shower you should be able to fit a shower pump to boost up your pressure.

The CT60B from Salamander is a regenerative type pump, this means they have a specially designed impeller to assist in the removal of air from the water system. The ideal pump to use when you have a lot of complicated pipework with multiple bends and elbows.

Anyone that has to be up early understands the importance of not waking everyone else in the house up. Less advanced pumps have a tendency to make a lot of noise which could disrupt sleep, this twin impeller, positive head pump is very quiet while in use to keep early morning noise to a minimum.

As with all twin impeller pumps it’s designed for connection onto both the hot and cold stored water supplies. The benefit of this type of installation is that both water supplies are boosted to the same level of pressure giving you a better level of control when using the shower. As a final seal of quality, Salamander cover the product with a fantastic 3 year guarantee!

This is a great device. We are renovating a seventies time capsule bungalow blessed with long runs of 15 mm pipe. The flow of water to all outlets was dire. Fitting solar hot water, so need a gravity system. This pump is crossover technology, which means it can work one outlet only, such as loo or kitchen hot tap. It runs the whole place and shifted a scary amount of built up gunge from the old pipework, after which it got even better. The supplied hoses are really too short and inflexible. They would make fitting awkward so I replaced them with longer better ones. The only issue is that it is quite noisy. I have it in a basement underneath a concrete floor and it is still audible.
