I must admit I got a plumber to replace my old mixer tap with the Bristan as access is difficult, but I can see that if you have the space under your kitchen sink, the Bristan should be easy enough to install yourself. As for the tap, it looks great and appears solidly well made. The smooth laminar flow of water reduces splash-back and looks good too. I agree with others that the water does drip for 2-3 seconds after you turn it off as it drains out of the doo-dad in the tap which causes the water to flow so smoothly, but this does not bother me at all. It is early days, but so far I'm very happy with this purchase.
Tap looks good in place, does what it’s supposed to, but only time and use will tell how well it performs and lasts. My previous tap was double the price and from a very well known company and I wouldn’t touch that company again with a barge pole. Price and brand name doesn’t necessarily mean quality and reliability.
The Plumbworld Team love this Bristan Kitchen Mixer Tap. It has a unique 'Easyfit' base which is exactly what it says on the tin - easy to fit! The brushed style is modern and will gorgeous in any kitchen!
