Some of the very first mirrors were actually pieces of polished stone, such as the volcanic rock obsidian, which has been dated back to around 6000 B.C.

Mirrors comparable to how we know them were first produced in 1 A.D by the Romans. They’ve come a long way since then and the Niccolo is a fine example. It’s beautifully finished with twin sets of LED lighting down both sides, producing a warm and clear glow with the help of two acrylic diffusers.

To activate the lights, you simple need to wave your hand underneath the infra-red sensor, then repeat to turn off.

LEDs are getting more and more common when it comes to reliable lighting. You can see why when they have a much longer lifespan and consume considerably less energy compared with normal light bulbs.

Most people know that using electrical items in the bathroom can be a bit of a health hazard. However with the Niccolo mirror there are no worries with this. Its IP44 rated meaning it can be hung on a bathroom wall above a wash basin without the worry of water and electricity coming into contact. The Niccolo mirror also has a film across its back as an added safety feature. This will stop the mirror from smashing into small pieces should it be knocked from the wall or dropped accidentally. Safety matched with style is paramount with all of our products.

Features and Benefits of the Vasari Niccolo Rectangular Horizontal LED Mirror:

  • Both the left and right hand side of the mirror features lighting. LEDs are normally very bright so both sets are covered with an acrylic diffuser to help create a soothing, ambient light and a relaxing room to be in.
  • The lights are switched on using an infra-red sensor found underneath the mirror. Simply wave your hand in front of this to turn on and back off again.
  • The mirrors are made from a durable 5mm thick glass with an added safety film backing. This is key for holding the mirror together should it be damaged or broken. It stops the glass breaking up into smaller sharp pieces.
  • These mirrors are IP44 rated making them suitable for hanging in a bathroom. This means that water splashing against the unit from any direction shall have no effect. Ideal for hanging above the wash basin for cleaning teeth.
  • All fittings are included.
  • Please note that a 150mm minimum distance is required between infra red sensor and countertop or obstruction to ensure correct function of sensor.

I am so impressed with my new bathroom mirror - absolutely love it. Fantastic quality and really is the perfect finishing touch to my new, contemporary bathroom - only downfall is it doesn't knock 20 years off me ????
