The Monsoon Extra Positive 2.3 bar single pump is designed for use in larger domestic and light commercial applications. Installed into an open vented hot or cold water system, where all outlets are below the level of the cold water cistern, it has the equivalent effect of raising the cold water cistern 23 metres above its current position with a flow rate of 45 litres per minute.

Applications include boosting water pressures to individual outlets where a high pressure boost is required. The pump is not recommended for use in pairs for boosting common hot and cold supplies to mixer taps and shower valves (for applications such as this please refer to the Monsoon Extra Negative range). Monsoon Extra is ideal as an outlet pump installed after a shower valve pumping to multiple shower heads.

Positive pumps are suitable for installation into an open vented hot and cold system and require a gravity flow of 1.0 l/min to operate. A positive single pump can be used to:

Boost the water pressure in either the hot or cold water supply pipe.

Boost the blended water outlet between the shower valve and the shower rose.

Note: These pumps should not be used for Supply of hot and cold water services to a common mixer or Supply of pumped hot water service to a common mixer where the cold supply is mains fed.
