Problem solved
After searching our local DIY and Ikea stores for suitable accessories to complete our newly decorated bathroom, things were not looking good since stock was either of poor quality or too expensive. However a search on the Internet turned up Plumbworld who had an excellent choice and fair prices. Our towel rail and ring have now been fitted and are both smart and practical.
