Tommy Walsh on Plumbworld

Nothing's ever too much trouble for Tommy Walsh, who was the backbone of Ground Force.

Tommy runs his own small building business in Hackney, east London. It specialises in hard landscaping - the part of garden creation that doesn't involve planting.

He left school to work with his father, manufacturing garden products and hard landscaping. He met the executive producer of Ground Force while doing building work on her house. She asked his opinion on various pilots, and was so impressed by his knowledge that she invited him to screen test with another unknown named Charlie Dimmock, and they both joined the Ground Force team.

Tommy's book, Ground Force Practical Garden Projects, covers the general rules and principles that can be applied to any gardening projects. He also has several DIY titles under his toolbelt.
