Why pay more
We've not had chance to install as yet. But having had Grohe products before, I know we won't be disappointed. They are the perfect swap over from old thermostatic mixers and are very well built.
Having spent some time surfing the internet, we found Plumbworld to be by far the best value for money and the delivery was very fast....even surprised our builders, hence it's not installed yet.

Grohe Grohtherm 1000
Having installed Grohe products in two shower rooms and a bathroom previously and therefore being aware of Grohe's quality, I had no hesitation whatsoever in purchasing two Grohtherm 1000s for my latest project. Although I purchased them back in the autumn of 2008 I have only recently come to install them. Upon installation my plumber found that one of the mixers was faulty, in as much as it was letting by. I contacted Plumbworld expecting to encounter some resistance due to the lengh of time between purchase and installation, but my fears were unfounded. They immediately put me in contact with Grohe who sent me a replacement cartridge which I received within a couple of working days. Unfortunately the replacement cartridge did not resolve the problem and therefore not only have Grohe sent me a new shower mxer, but they are also paying my plumber to replace the original one. They want to collect the original one on completion as clearly they want to know what has cause this particular mixer to fail.
The Grohethern 1000 is an excellent bit of kit which provides a luxury shower for a very competetive price. I have recently installed a new 25mm water main and I am receiving 6.5 bar. With this pressure and flow rate I find I only need to turn the shower on about halfway for a most excellent shower. Both the flow and temperature control knob are very positive enabling the flow rate and temperature to be adjusted with consumate ease.
I still have another bathroom and cloakroom to install and I will be using Grohe's products for these too.
If you want an excellent shower that really works well and is excellent value at twice the price, then look no further.
