A great surprise!
We live in an old house (1760)and things get pretty well worn-including the Lavatory seats!finally after about 25 years we needed a new seat in the cloakroom! The one I got is just perfect!so much so,I will quite likely get many more, for the rest of the bathrooms!Thank you Plumbworld, you really have made a difference,

Quality Shines Through
Pros: sheer quality of build and looks
Cons: needs four not only two pads underneath, should have been 5-10mm longer
There is no doubting the quality of this seat. In the feel of the wood and the finishing of the metalwork it simply says: quality.
I have a standard low-flush (not close-coupled) loo and the seat on it looks good in my traditional bathroom.
The bar hinge ensures the seat will never slip off in the way some do.

A good purtchase with no hassle
The package arrived promptly as promised even though it was a bank holiday weekend and I was expecting some delay. I found this seat to be easy to fit, comfortable to sit on and it looks good. The tie bar between the two fixing points is particularly welcome because it helps to prevent the seat from moving sideways as happens with other seat that I have used in the past. Contrary to a previous comment regarding its size, I found that the hole is sufficiently large enough for most bottoms and iit iis indeed, very comfortable.

What a seat!
It's such a pleasure to visit my loo now. Not only does it look a million bucks but it's the most comfortable seat ever! It's so great I'm spending more time on the seat than off.

Sit in comfort
Pros: solid warm
Cons: a tiny bit small
Dont sit on a cold loo seat, get a warm , solid mahogany loo seat. I have seen bigger but not necessarily better. A reasonable quality seat.
If you splash out for this kind of seat, you probably have a larger pan to cover but the wife didnt notice, and it does the job whilst you do yours.
