Secure fixing

Pros: Appearance: Neat, modern, not too hospital-like. , Attachment method: by hanging the seat from the backrest the fixing screws are in shear stress, unlike many products where the design would put a pulling stress on fixings., Safety: no corners or hard edges, whether in use or folded , Technical design and cleanability: one can lift the seat off the fixing bracket in order to give it (and the shower wall) a thorough cleaning.

Cons: I set a stainless 'penny' washer between bracket and wall. I also place a strip of 3M adhesive sealing strip between the top edge of the bracket and the wall to prevent any danger of water seeping into the fixing holes., The fixing bracket wasn't quite true. Fixing it directly to the wall would have made it very hard to lift off and replace the seat.

Installation:
Knowing that the breeze block walls of my house don't take well to expansion bolts or plugs, I drilled right through the wall and used 6mm stainless steel threaded rods and s/s nuts to secure the top three fixing holes. The plasterwork on the other side of the wall was sufficiently deep for the nuts to be completely concealed. Altogether a very solid fixing in which even a heavy person (I'm only 75 kg)can have confidence.
Use:
In use this is a comfortable seat which can be folded out of the way neatly without exposing sharp corners or unsightly mechanisms and can easily be cleaned, either in situ or by removing it from the wall bracket for a more thorough cleaning

Shower seat

Pros: easy to fit

This shower seat is a great product strong yet very sturdy and when folded goes flat to the wall making it perfect for a small shower.The customer service recieved was second to none with fast delivery and great after sales service and I would recomend the product and plumworld to anyone.
