A steal
Well built. This looks a lot more expensive than it is. I bought it to clear a soakaway after my last experience with one cost £300 for a morning's work by two plumbers.This item has a rotating shaft with a corkscrew strong wire at the end and runs through an outer sheath, and a clutch. I used it with a cordless drill at low revs. It bores into the obstrucion which you can then pull back and break up. After about 30 minutes it had cleared quite a long obstruction in the soakaway, and I was overjoyed to see water draining, and the snake disappearing to its full 15 ft. Brilliant! I really never thought it would do such a great job, excellent for narrow caliibre drains, and I'm sure for wider ones too.

Drain Clearer
Pros: simple and easy to use
Cons: none!
Got it on time after plenty of notices on delivery and order progress. It cleared a problem drain within 10 minutes of reciept. Why didn't I order it months ago? Brilliant

Handy Gadget
Pros: a good fleible tool
used the drill snake to clear a soakaway in conjunction with flushing with water.(keep the drill away from the water).
Drill snake worked OK, drain still clear so far.
