First Class product
Pros: brilliant value, easily adaptable temperature range, easy to fit, everything you need apart from the tools
Cons: initial worry re temperature range
I ordered this item because our thermostatic shower had given up the ghost and supplied nothing but cold water. I was expecting to pay in the region of at least £150 for a new one. However an internet search brought me to Plumbworld, so I read the reviews, the input from Tommy Walsh and purchased the Architekt Profile Thermostatic bar shower and kit. The delivery time was super fast and the item was well packaged. The first thing I noticed before I had even opened the package was that it had a reassuringly weighty feel to it.
Upon opening every thing that I needed (except for the tools to fit it) was there. The look of the shower bar was of an elegant well chromed design, with smoothly operating controls. The weight indicated that there was a substantial amount of brass in its construction which is all to the good. The inlets matched perfectly so I didn't need the adapters. The shower bar went in like a dream, and the rest of the kit was easy to assemble so the shower was up and running in a very short space of time. I turned it on with trepidation, because another cold shower for the wife would have been the end of me, and horror of horrors the maximum temperature was only lukewarm. However the few remaining brain cells that I have retained kicked in and I undid the grub screw in the temperature control handle of the shower, I took the limiter inside off of its spline and with trial and error reached the perfect temperature range. This shower has performed faultlessly since. I totally recommend it to anyone and as I say with a little trial and error with the limiter you can get the shower to perform exactly within the temperature range that you like. Go on give it a go you will not be disappointed. Brilliant value, easy to fit, and welcome follow up from the customer service team to ensure that you are happy and have had no problems.

Got there in the end!
Initially I couldnt fit this shower as my pipe connections (olives) wouldnt work.
I employed a plumber to cut back the pipes and fit new connections that would give me a flush wall finish.
When this was done (having broken up a wall tile) I managed to fit the new shower.
The temperature was then too cold but after taking advice on the technical line, I easily overcame this and I am now very happy with the purchase.
As you can tell from this review, I am a novice but managed to achieve a good replacement shower for under £100 with some extra work.
